Letter from Texas
Well, I received my first letter from my son in AF boot camp. It was great to finally hear from him in the mail. Apparently, he's doing fine and has passed his locker/cleaniness bed/making evaluation. As I recall, we had those nearly every day in the Navy, back when they could berate us. Those were the days, my friend. If the CO had a hair across his ass, and he couldn't bounce a quarter off the bed, he'd tear it all off and make us do it again. Not sure how they deal with it these days. I wonder if there are lawyers living off-base to support the "abuse" or "discrimination" lawsuits that the new military surely must generate. Just a thought.
