I was born in a log cabin and raised by an old mama lion and her cubs...no, wait, that was my sister Simba. I was borne on the wind, raised by the earth and reared by a probing finger. ouch. I was a catholic until college. I soon switched from cat-holic to alka-holic. I was pleased by the difference. The taste and lack of hair in my throat was a welcome and refreshing change. I grew up in Taxachusetts where I was an average student with a better than average chance of becoming nobody. I must say, I surpassed that milestone many times over. I've become a nobody and dropped in stature only to re-become a nobody several times. Thank you.

New Years revolutions

Well, here it is 6 years after Y2K and I'm still waiting for my computer to blow up. Nothing's happened yet!

Snow is falling. I'm at work and trying to find ways to keep busy without blatantly goofing off. Jolin went back to Texas on the 3rd. I got to spend a few hours with him a couple of times. We chatted and saw "Narnia" (movie). It was a great movie, and a nice time.
New Year's eve was spent with Angela. Had a very nice time. Course, the food was great. She made a meat loaf; the leftovers of which she foisted onto me upon my departure. It was very good and disappeared within 24 hours. Angela's an excellent cook. She gave me a Sirius receiver, among other odds and ends, for Christmas. It's way cool and I use it in the van. I'll be looking into a "home port" to listen at work or home.
Dlisted is still fun, but the unpredictability of certain posters there detracts from the fun. They can get so mean and turn on you in a second. I'm convinced that it's due to the fact that I neglected to include her name in my "T'was the night..." poem that I wrote to the site in which I mentioned a bunch of people. It's less fun when that person starts to insult me for no reason other than to stir up shit. I've been told that she's a "meds" personality by more than one person. You know the difficulty I have ignoring idiots. I usually jump right in with both feet and it only escalates from there. Oh well.
I went to Circuit City yesterday to buy another alarm clock/radio. The one I had had no sound. The present one has a battery back-up to it and the batteries died. So, when I got home, AFTER the new purchase, I decided to change the batteries to see if that would make a difference. DUH! The dead batteries automatically shuts down the radio so I know that the batteries are dead. I guess the red light on the fron that tells me the batteries are dead wasn't enough. They had to fuck with my head too. Soooooooo...now I have to return the newer purchase. DOH!
When I bought the newer radio (it's a display model; no box), I succumbed to my natural desires and purchased The Simpsons' 2nd season DVD. I hate when I do that. However, I love watching them, so I forgive me.
I picked up almost another dozen Christmas CD's over the holiday. (duh...it's what I do). Finally got the Glen Campbell I've been looking for, for so many years. It's missing a few songs from the orig. but, it's still ok. Picked up a Lawrence Welk as well (geez, I hope nobody EVER reads that. I can feel the groans).
Got a very nice e-mail from Pat. She has a present for Jolin and will mail it. Very sweet of her.
Well, til next time. Chow ciao tchao
